About the Farm

Bardwell Farm stands as a testament to American agricultural heritage, with roots stretching back to 1685 when it was first established in the fertile Connecticut River valley. This historic 50-acre diversified vegetable farm has weathered centuries of change while maintaining its commitment to cultivating the finest produce in some of the richest silt loams along Massachusetts' Connecticut River.

Today, under the ownership of Harrison Bardwell and the dedicated management of his team including Field Manager Jonathan Bardwell, Assistant Farm Manager Sean Goonan, and Sales & Marketing Manager Rick Labrecque, the farm has evolved into a modern operation that honors its past while embracing innovation. The farm grows over 25 varieties of crops and operates with a vision of becoming a "365 farm," utilizing high tunnels to extend their growing season and provide fresh greens even through the harsh New England winters.

Bardwell Farm's mission extends far beyond simple food production. Through their roadside farm stand and wholesale distribution services, they proudly serve the Pioneer Valley community with a philosophy rooted in freshness, local sourcing, and undeniable convenience. Their commitment to social responsibility shines through initiatives like Carrots 2 Carrots, a farming program focused on tackling food insecurity by connecting struggling families with fresh, local produce, embodying their belief that everyone deserves access to healthy food.
