About the Farm

Twin Shellfish L.L.C. was born in 2005 from the shared vision of twin brothers Tim and Marty McGiveney, who transformed four decades of shellfishing experience on Narragansett Bay into their own thriving enterprise. The brothers had spent over 40 years working the waters of Narragansett Bay, developing an intimate knowledge of its rhythms and bounty before deciding to channel their expertise into bringing customers the freshest shellfish at unbeatable prices.

The McGiveney brothers built their business on a foundation of quality and freshness, catching their own product while also sourcing directly from more than twenty other experienced shellfishermen working the same waters they know so well. This network allows them to offer consistent availability while maintaining the exacting standards that come from deep local knowledge and relationships built over generations of working these productive waters.

Twin Shellfish operates with a simple but powerful mission: delivering the freshest Rhode Island shellfish directly to customers' doors at the best prices available. Their commitment to quality extends from the water to the customer, offering everything from tender littlenecks to plump soft shell steamers, each item representing the pristine waters and careful handling that define their approach to this traditional Rhode Island industry.
