About the Farm

Brookfield Farm has been nourishing the community since 1986, establishing itself as an early adopter of Community Supported Agriculture in the United States. For 40 years, this 120-acre mixed farm in Amherst, Massachusetts has been providing shareholders with a meaningful connection to their food through bountiful and high quality produce, while offering a shared experience of reality, risk and seasonality.

The farm operates as a mixed agricultural enterprise, combining both vegetables and livestock on their expansive property. They serve two distinct regions through their CSA program, delivering to both the Pioneer Valley and the greater Boston Area. Their commitment to sustainable farming practices has earned them loyal shareholders, many of whom have maintained their relationship with the farm for over 20 years, testament to what they call "the real deal" in sustainable agriculture.

Brookfield Farm's mission extends beyond simply growing food to fostering community connection and ensuring food access for all. Two years ago, they pioneered their Food Access Program, partnering with organizations like The Amherst Survival Center and Rachel's Table of Western Massachusetts. Through these partnerships, they donated over 8,000 pounds of produce to area pantries throughout Hampshire and Franklin County, demonstrating their belief that everyone deserves access to healthy, locally grown produce.
