Honey

About the Farm

Tewksbury Honey is a family-owned and operated apiary run by Julie and Mike Kelley. What started as a save-the-bees project for their daughter when she was in elementary school in 2015 has blossomed into a thriving business. The family now employs over 8 million honeybees across approximately 125 hives in apiary locations throughout Tewksbury, Wilmington, Andover, and Bradford, Massachusetts. They harvest twice a year, around the Fourth of July and Labor Day, producing lighter spring honey and darker, richer fall honey. Each harvest reflects the seasonal wildflowers of the Merrimack Valley. Tewksbury Honey has earned multiple Good Food Awards, winning in 2017 and 2019 and earning finalist status in 2020 and 2023 for their Spring Wildflower Honey and Spring Creamed Honey. The family gives back by donating hundreds of jars to the Tewksbury Food Pantry and giving educational bee talks at libraries, schools, and senior centers throughout the community.
